Depo/OCP and menses: Using the Depo-Provera shot and ocp can make the lining thin. Both are hormones and the Depo-Provera shot lasts up to 3 months. In some patients, it may take a while until your body adjusts back to normal. If you are very thin and/or very athletic, it may cause further delay for return of your cycles as well. Since it's been a year, i would see your doctor to make sure there isn't something else happening.
