Not so much: Group B strep is a rather common germ in the human digestive tract. It gets there after you contaminate your fingers & pass it to yourself. It is not much of a stretch for it to move to the female genital tract, close by, which is much more tolerant/inviting than a males. It is an occasional cause of UTI's in females but rare if ever causes any infection in males. It is not considered a STD.
