A+sign means it is p: If it shows as a+ it is positive
and if it is a-- means it is negative
if it does not show+ it is supposed to be negative
you can repeat the test if in doubt.

To sort out either way and remove all doubt the best option here would be a formal blood HCG (pregnancy test) which could be arranged by your primary care practitioner.
