I'm on steroids for chronic health conditions. if my toddler gets a live vaccine such as chick pox, am i risk of some kind when i get near him?

Talk to the doc who prescribed your steroids to see if your individual dosing puts you at risk. If you are going to be off the steroids in the next month or two, you could consider delay for your toddler, but if long term use may need a different plan.
