FM (fibromyalgia): No single treatment is completely effective in controlling fm. Pharmacotherapy has produced mixed results in the management of fm. Nonpharmacologic treatments (e.g., cardiovascular fitness training, EMG biofeedback training) has produced significant improvement in objective and subjective measurements of pain in patients with fm. At the present time, there is no cure for fm.
