Side effects: Antibiotics can definitely cause rashes. This is usually due to an allergy to the medication or one of its ingredients. Amoxicillin can cause fever and rash as well. If your fever persists, see your doctor to determine if the fever is due to the condition being treated or due to the medication.

Not unless: The bacteria you are treating is resistant to the Amoxicillin (fever) and/or you are possibly allergic to it (rash).
