Klonopin (clonazepam): What kind of breathing problems are you having? Klonopin (clonazepam) is sedating, but it doesn't usually depress respiration at the dose you're taking. However, 1mg twice daily is enough to habituate you fairly quickly -- meaning withdrawal symptoms will result from sudden decreases in dose. Anxiety can cause rapid breathing and sensations of breathlessness also. Please discuss concerns with your doc.
