Relax: White dots in finger nails signify previous minor injuries to the cuticle. They gradually grow out with the nail over about 6 months. Isotretinoin, usually taken for 20 weeks, causes temporary dryness of skin, moucous membranes, eyes, hair, nails, etc. Headache is worse if you take vitamins with vit a (not food): avoid vit. Pills while on isotretinoin. You may need to reduce the dose or even stop.
