I've read that kenalog (triamcinolone) causes constipation, how does that work? and why are a lot of the side effects delayed?

Steroid: Kenalog (triamcinolone) is a corticosteroid that can be topical(cream) or given by injection. I am not aware that constipation is a side effect and usually one injection wouldn't cause significant or serious side effects like long term use of steroids do(ulcers, high bp, osteoporosis, weight gain, trouble sleeping, elevated blood sugar, etc). A large amount put in a joint may produce some mild side effects, however.

Kenolog does not cau: Kenalog (triamcinolone) does not cause constipation. Zoloft does.
