Get examined/ X-rays: Signifigant fx/ dislocations of the ankle even reduced anatomically ( or near anatomic) can cause problems down the road. Most commonly post/traumatic arthritis can develop.Tibial 'periostitis' or lower leg pain is common in overweight females( and males) after ankle fractures. See your ors for examination/ x-rays .
