Herpes: I may need more information. There are two types of herpes and two types of blood tests. First, there is herpes type one, the 'oral' herpes found in 75% of us. There is then type two, the 'genital' herpes, found in 25% of us. Blood tests show antibodies. The igm antibodies diagnose early or new infection and the igg antibodies, show an old exposure. What test did you have?
