Why do i experience cramps and gas after ovulation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: It's normal to have these symptoms after ovulation. They likely are due to the hormonal changes that occur in your cycle. Whereas estrogen predominates the first 1/2 of the cycle, Progesterone dominates the 2nd 1/2 and Progesterone causes the bowel to slow down, and causing increased gas production/bloating. Cramping can also be due to physical effects of egg leaving the ovary.
