A member asked:

How serious are synovial and tarlov cysts in the low back? and will they get bigger? what is the best treatment? thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Let me explain: Tarlov cysts are defined as cysts formed within the nerve-root sheath at the dorsal root ganglion. The etiology of these cysts is not well understood; most common in the lower spine. They could cause some problems. The etiology of lumber spine synovial cyst is still unclear, most of them with arthritis of the spine. They are not serious problems.
