Dehydration: You may be drying out the back of the throat by breathing through the mouth while sleeping and this will create pain and tenderness that will dissipate rapidly when rehydrated. The better question is what is wrong with your nose? You might want to see an ENT doctor and be checked for allergy, etc. Good luck.
