A member asked:

How is leukemia diagnosed and what are the differential diagnoses'?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Evaluation: Leukemia is suspected based on a person's medical complaint and history, physical examination, and blood count results. It is diagnosed by blood testing and bone marrow examination. There are many types of leukemia. An abnormal blood count does not mean you have leukemia. The differential diagnosis depends on the type of blood count abnormality.
