I would: For most kids this is a cosmetic nuisance rather than a risk,but it could become more of a problem later. If ampicillin or its close relatives were the best selection for a serious illness,there are ways it can be used in a hospital setting.This involves a specialised desensitization/monitoring.Luckily we have many alternatives for common infections.Make sure the reaction makes it into the chart
