Gaseous or muscular: That type of discomfort could be due to gaseous buildup or muscular discomfort. If it's gas build-up then drinking warm water and applying a hot water bottle to the abdomen helps break down the gas and enables you to pass it. Could you have sore abdominal muscles from exercises? Turning and twisting would affect that type of discomfort.
