If you can't: Afford medical care, here are some things you can do to help yourself that won't cost you money. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep /night ; good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies ; 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, qi gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises ; meditation. You can learn many of these things on utube or by reading about them. Take care.

Health anxiety: It sounds like you're learning that the er is not the most effective place to go for help with chronic problems. It would be more helpful for you to connect with a primary care clinic along with a psychiatrist who can help you with your health anxiety. The primary care doctor can make sure no important illnesses are being missed. To find low-cost clinics: http://tinyurl.Com/mhlf96u.

Went to ER?: You went to the er, the most expensive place to get health care, for a cold? There are community health centers that will see you on a sliding scale without insurance. You have simple, primary care needs. Please go see the family physician at your local community health center.
