Is it better to take strattera (atomoxetine) with food or without food ?

With food!: The most common side effect when starting strattera (atomoxetine) is nausea, and because of that, i always have patients take it with their largest meal, usually their evening meal.

Either: Patients report no difference in effectiveness if strattera (atomoxetine) is given with or without food. Some find that taken with food protects from stomach upset.

Atomoxetine: Although atomoxetine may be taken with or without food, taking it with food can help to protect against GI upset.
