Little difference: Every pregnancy has a basic risk of about 4% of an unexpected outcome.(premi, cleft, illness, etc.) as you age you increase the risk of chromosome abnormalities, but the difference between age 37 and 40 is minimal. I think your concerns sound reasonable and you should consider another pregnancy when you are ready.
