Yes: Having unprotected sex 6 weeks after having a baby does make you at risk for getting pregnant. A woman will release an egg before getting her first period, so there is no way to know when she is fertile. If a woman is breastfeeding full time, ovulation can be delayed several months. It is safest to use some form of birth control - condoms, birth control pills, nexplanon, iud, Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone).

Yes: Some women, especially if they're not breast feeding, ovulate within a few weeks of delivering. Remember, you ovulate before menstruate, so you can conceive without ever having your first period after your delivery. Breast feeding usually delays ovulation, but it's no guarantee.
