No worry: Because it is not extensively metabolized in the liver, topiramate and is prescribed for a variety of pain disorders including the prophylaxis of migraine headache. Side effects include cognitive difficulties, sedation and fatigue, kidney stones and weight loss. A potentially serious side effect is acute glaucoma which manifests itself as blurred vision. If concerned consult your doctor.
