Chronic tonsillitis : It's possible that you have a chronic infection that is resistant to the antibiotics that you have tried. Cultures are not always accurate, not always get a good sample. There could be other causes for the chronic soreness like allergies, postnatal drip, or even acid reflux. This is something that should be evaluated by an ENT doctor. However, removing your tonsils might be an option.
