Not definitely known: Mild to moderate scoliosis if flexible can sometimes lend itself to some chiropractic manipulation and management of pain if present.Virtually no formal research exists documenting chiropractic's effectiveness in managing scoliosis. Some studies currently being conducted. Most treatment is done with bracing or surgery with spinal fusion.

Mixed Results: There are some trials and research being done as we speak. Protocols during the 70's and 80's did not show much progress. The innovators in health care related to scoliosis are looking into functional neurology, vibration plates in combination with traction, and dural adhesions effecting cerebral spinal fluid flow. Obviously, we need more research, and to get the research to clinicians.
