Nickel sulfate: Allergy to nickel is common, usually due to the way the ears were pierced. The allergy occurs when ionized nickel sulfate is absorbed into skin. It is very easy to test metals for this. I have the test in my office. Generally surgical or stainless steel is ok. Better gold ; silver is usually ok. Be sure to check the backs. The buckle on your watch strap and the rivet on your jeans may react if you.
