Depends: Bronchodilator medications (beta agonists, anticholinergics) increase the airway diameter to help clear mucous and improve air exchange (helps breathing). However if you have bronchiectasis the airways are permanently dilated and mucous becomes lodged/trapped worsening gas exchange. It is a fine line.
