Body odor: There are many reasons why you have a body odor that troubles you. Start by seeing your family doctor who will take your history, do a physical exam, and order lab studies. With that information she/he should be able to explain your body odor and advise you how to overcome this.

Bacteria and sweat: If you are speaking about common body odor, it is the product of sweat/perspiration meeting the bacteria on your skin. Depending on the location--armpits, feet, groin, anus--the odor can be different. Bathing daily, using deodorant at bedtime, keeping skin dry can help. If you are speaking of a different odor, a full medical evaluation is needed to sort through the many causes. Good wishes!
