Help docs? why is it hard to kick meth addiction?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question: But nobody really knows. Stimulants in general make people feel so good, and then so bad when they stop, that they compulsively and obsessively want to feel the "good" again. They change the actual chemistry/structure of the brain to where the brain needs these substances to function. Cocaine is just as difficult for many people to kick, but methamphetamine is the worst. There is help available.
