No relationship: There is no relationship apparent between autism and schizophrenia. Autism is a neurological disorder first found in childhood and follows a predictable path. Schizophrenia onset is more likely to occur in the teens and can be brought under good control with medications. There are many factors that need to be considered when treating for this disorder and both require supportive families.
