Gluten: Some symptoms can be abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea; but sometimes no symptoms appear in the age and the child doesn't grow well which can be the first important clue. I just had a 7 year old last week that didn't grow or gain any weight from the previous checkup and ended up with celiac's (awaiting confirmation from a endoscopy) based on blood results.
