Topical lubricants: Most chronic red eyes are due to eye dryness. Try using lubricant eyedrops and plain eye ointment at night. Some chronic redness is due to excess vessels on the surface of the eye. Removal will require laser surgery.

Allergic conjuctivit: You may also have allergies. If the lubricant does not work use an over the counter antihistamine eye drop and see if it works after you try the lubricants. Then you can see the ent doc who does allergy or an allergist for a stronger antihistamine drop and to get your allergies tested.
