Several Things: The upper extremity is subject to repetitive microtrauma with racquet sports. The appropriate form and equipment is a good place to start. Maintaining a good core keeps your base stable and puts your upper body in the right position. Upper extremity strengthening must include the scapula (shoulder blade) because it supports the entire extremity. Work with a tennis coach/trainer.
