?: If you mean pain during urination, that can be due to urinary tract infection, which yo need to be evaluated for. Urine retention thouh, or difficulty passing urine, can be a side effect of diphehydramine or any antihistaminic, not dose related, if you have so, please see your doctor or go to ER
