A member asked:

I tore my acl and had surgery to fix it. how long should i expect to be out of sports?

Normally 6 months: The time will vary by the amount of other injuries in the knee at the time. 6 months is a good estimate. Usually at 3 months a person is running straight ahead and 4 months jumping, 5 months controlled cutting, 6 months sports.
