135-145: It depends on what you're heart and kideys can tolerate. You want your blood sodium level to remain within the 135-145 range. If you crave salty foods, chances are your serum sodium level is low. Too little salt or too much water intake can lead to hyponatremia. Signs of too low a sodium include confusion, seizures, muscle weakness etc. Too much sodium leads to edema and congestive heart failure.
