Usually breakthrough: Sometimes the pill is not absorbed well enough or the pill is not strong enough or your body makes too much estrogen from fat cells. This results in breakthrough bleeding. Unusual to get pregnant nonetheless, but if you have abnormal bleeding on the pill a home pregnancy test is always a good idea.
