A member asked:

Left eye-had a 3mm piece of muscle removed from medial rectus muscle. if too much muscle is gone, how can that be fixed surgically?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Muscle surgery: The piece of the muscle was removed to shorten the muscle and this will turn your eye inwards toward the nose. If too much is removed the eye will overturn inwards and correction is possible by changing the site of insertion of the muscle tendon on the eye. Hopefully your eye with the first surgery will be in the right position.
