Traveler's Diarrhea: Cipro (ciprofloxacin), (ciprofloxacin) or any other antibiotic, is not for diarrhea. These are for infections caused by bacteria. Simple traveler's diarrhea is to be treated with good hydration and perhaps an anti-diarrhea medication. If the diarrhea causes fever, chills, or bloody stool then perhaps Cipro (ciprofloxacin) should be considered. If there are no symptoms of fever, or bloody stool then of course one should not take the antibiotic.
