Irritation: It may be irritation of your posterior esophagus, such as an area of "esophagitis" that gets adversely stimulated and irritated with hot or cold substances. This discomfort since in the back of your esophagus can be felt to be in the back of your neck. Just a thought, so best to get it evaluated to be sure if it persists. Best wishes.
