See details: Tendinitis is probably most likely in a 24 year old. If it persists another week or so you may want to have the knee evaluated.

Vague: You may have a partial tear of a ligament in or around the knee. If bruised without apparent trauma, then this very well could be the case. Over training, poor shoes- has this happened before with this knee or the other or both. See an orthopedic dr.
