Diabetes insipidus: Is a condition where kidneys have problem reabsorbing filtered water which results in both excessive thirst ; urination. Problem can either be "central" where pituitary gland produces insufficient anti-diuretic hormone or 2ndary to kidney damage. Can easily be tested by measuring urine concentration after 15 hours any fluid consumption (overnight). Good luck.

Polyuria: Urinating a lot is called polyuria (p). If you are not ingesting large amounts of fluid to account for this, go to the er and have a urine analysis. If you have glucose in your urine, you likely have diabetes. If not, they can check your blood work to see if an answer can be found to your question. Good luck.
