Pretty safe: Hormone therapy is pretty safe at this age. I would recommend seeing your doctor for an evaluation and an ultrasound to rule other causes of bleeding besides hormones. There are ways to prescribe hormones that can help minimize abnormal bleeding, but you have to be patient while working on this with your doctor. There's definitely an early phase when irregular bleeding is expected.
