Depends: Sleeping on your back is really the best position due to neck and b reathing problems. But certain positions are healthier in terms of the muscles, etc. It is difficult to retrain someone to change positions after many years of "programming." i would read up on the topic and even consider seeing a sleep specialist if you have problems sleeping.

Not really unless: You have sleep apnea or other condition like a bad back or tmd that you will notice gets worse when you sleep in certain positions...
