Concerning for a 19: Flatulence is a common thing, some more than others, but incontinence at age 19 is concerning. Anal intercourse can be a cause of fecal incontinence because of tearing of the anal sphincter muscle etc... If you don't notice some improvement in 1-2 wks, i would advise getting it checked out by doc. Good luck, .

It varies.: Response to these types of exercises depends on the underlying cause of the incontinence. You need to have a complete evaluation. If you do not see improvement within a few months consider trying pelvic floor pt with electrical stimulation, sacral nerve stimulation or other more aggressive treatments. Which treatments are best would depend on the underlying cause.
