Bilairy colic misnom: Bilairy colic is a misnomer as it is not really a colic. It is ocnstant pain and can occur after eating fatyty meals and may occur off and on for day. It is a pain that can go peircing through to the back for the epigastric area. You should see a doctor for any pain that is not momentary and is recurrent.

Hello! Can gallstones in the gallbladder cause multiple episodes of biliary colic, or is it generally restricted to only one episode?
I have been told that in biliary colic the gallstone temporarily blocks the bile duct. I have had 3 to 4 episodes of biliary colic before my GB was removed that had stones. Will those 4 episodes of biliary colic cause liver cirrhosis in the future?
