Please tell me, could a person survive a midline shift in the brain..?

If successfully Rx'd: If midline shift due to subdural hematoma, surgically decompress, if due to swelling secondary to stroke in young person, could be dicey. Tumors and abscesses can be treated also. So, this is variable, and good doctors can save loads of patients.
