See your MD: Women over the age of 40 who begin to show symptoms of irregular bleeding should see a doctor to be evaluated for causes for bleeding such as fibroids, polyps, infection, and in the worst case...cancer. Abnormal findings tend to happen as women get older and many are treatable and w/out significant complication. Would be happy to consult more on this.
