Acetaminophen dosing: Acetaminophen is the generic form of tylenol (acetaminophen). Assuming you are healthy, you can take a maximum dose of 1 gram in 4 hours. Therefore you can take a regular (325 mg) or extra strength (500 mg) 3 hours later. The max dose per day of tylenol (acetaminophen)/Acetaminophen is 4 gm.
