A member asked:

Can you have spinal arachnoiditis from herniated disc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very rarely: Arachnoiditis is not very common (long ago it was associated with myelogram dye that is no longer used). If the disk goes through the dura (rare) to enter the sac containing the nerves it could inflame the nerves and the sac lining (arachnoiditis).
