Please tell me, could blood parasites be sexually transmitted?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood parasites: Blood borne parasitic infections have been known to be transmitted through blood transfusions. These include Malaria, Chagas Disease and African Trypanosomiasis, Babesiosis, Toxoplasmosis, Leishmaniasis. %ages very low given the # of blood transfusions. In theory, it might be possible to transmit sexuallly if there were blood exchanged with actively infected partner, but prob. very unlikely.
